1. Minutes

 

 

 

The Sub-Panel received and approved its minutes of the 26th January 2010.

2. Media  and position to date

The Sub-Panel noted the following matters for information -

CLQ

 

 

a) that the JEP had agreed to run an update and link to the survey in its News In Brief column;

 

 

 

b) a total of 328 surveys had now been completed;

 

 

 

c)  The Chairman had met with the Head of the Statistics Unit and the Data Protection Registrar and it had been confirmed that data historically collected by the Statistics Unit. The Chairman would seek confirmation that the necessary clause would be included on surveys in the future so that Scrutiny would have access to information where appropriate;

 

 

 

d) It's the expenditure for the review as at the 16th February 2010;

 

 

 

e) that the use of flyers, re running its the radio advertising campaign and a possible outside public engagement event would be considered at the next meeting;

 

 

 

f)  That arrangements for the Sub-Panel to meet

 

 

with Age Concern and other agencies were progressing;

  1. The Chairman and Deputy De Sousa had met with a representative from the Welcome Centre at St. Thomas'sChurch inanefforttoincreaseitspublic engagement and reach more seldom heard groups;
  2. that the necessary action would be taken to ensure that videos of members outlining why the review was important to them would be made and uploaded to facebook as agreed by the HSSH Panel; and,
  1. the officer would prepare an outline document of all the public engagement activities and timescales to be used by other Panels as required.

 

 

3. The Room at the Bridge

The Sub-Panel agreed that it would review the ongoing use of the room at The Bridge at the end of March.

 

 

4. Meeting dates and next meeting

The Sub-Panel noted its meeting dates for the year and that its next meeting would be 2nd March 2010.
