516/29(5) 07.06.11 Item 1 | 1. BDO Alto Report: Operation Rectangle: Review of Efficient and Effective Use of Resources The Panel agreed to form a Sub Panel to undertake this review and requested the Scrutiny Officer to contact all non Executive States Members to invite expressions of interest in joining the Sub Panel. The Panel approved a draft scoping document and terms of reference for the review. Members agreed that it was important that its review of these matters should be tightly focussed on the issues arising from the above concerns and will not stray into broader issues relating to the Haut de la Garenne enquiry nor to the substance of the findings in the BDO report which are properly the remit of the PAC to investigate. The Panel was informed that Deputy Pitman and Deputy Tadier had met the two authors of local blogs who had raised the concerns regarding the BDO Alto report. The Panel agreed to write to the Minister requesting a written response to the issues raised by these concerns and to invite him to a public hearing. The Panel also agreed to issue a press release announcing the review. | MH |
