Item 5 15.12.11 516/31 | Draft States of Jersey Police Force Law 201- (P.182/2011) The Panel received and approved a scoping document prepared by the Scrutiny Officer for a preliminary review of the draft States of Jersey Police Force Law 201-. The Panel noted that Professor Savage, adviser to the previous Panel which had reviewed an earlier draft of the proposed law, had agreed to prepare a briefing paper for the Panel at the rate of £60 per hour for a maximum of 10 hours. The Panel approved a preliminary budget of £600 accordingly. The Panel agreed to meet to consider Professor Savage's paper on 18th January 2012 at which point the Panel would be in a position to determine whether it would be appropriate to request that the draft law be referred for further scrutiny. The Panel requested that the scoping document be submitted to the Chairmen's Committee. |
