09.03.11 Item 8 516/17(8) | 2. Matters Arising The Panel noted the status of action updates from the previous meeting on 9th March 2011. The Panel agreed for Deputy Tadier to finalise the draft proposition in support of findings within the Prison Board of Visitors report and lodge it for debate. | EL |
| 3. Draft Repatriation of Prisoners Law The Panel considered the Draft Law and accompanying report due to be debated on 7th June 2011. The Panel requested the Officer to arrange for a briefing with the Minister for Home Affairs to discuss the draft law. The Panel further requested that the Minister highlight any controversial points in advance of the briefing. In addition the Panel requested to see the statement on human rights compliance to accompany the law. It wanted further detail on whether the statement was standard or whether further analysis was used. | MH MH |

Policing of Beaches and Parks Review The Sub-Panel Chairman explained to the Panel that the draft report was waiting for final changes and approval from Sub-Panel members before being sent to Stakeholders for evidence review.
