1. Medium Term Financial Plan

The Panel confirmed the arranged times for its Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP) public hearings as:

Minister for Home Affairs, Monday 23rd July 2012 at 3pm Minister for Education, Sport and Culture Thursday 26th July 2012 at 2pm.

It was agreed that the object of the hearings was to establish the information required to fulfil the requirements of the combined Scrutiny approach to the MTFP. It was expected that this would be a small piece of work to add to the composite response of the Scrutiny Panels.

It was decided that the generic questions provided to the Panel by the Corporate  Services  Panel  would  obtain  the  information  required. However,  due  to  the  amount  of  information  required,  the  Panel considered it was most appropriate to request the Departments supply the information in writing prior to the hearings. Home Affairs were to be requested  to  supply  their  answers  by  18th  July  and  the  Education Department by 23rd July.

It was expected that the hearings would take two hours to complete. In order to prepare for the meetings, the Panel decided it would meet at 3pm on Friday 20th July 2012 to prepare for the Public Hearing with the Minister for Home Affairs and 3pm on Wednesday 25th July 2012 to prepare for the Public Hearing with the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture. The venue of the meetings was to be established and circulated to the Panel.
