The Chairman welcomed the Minister for Home Affairs, the Home Affairs Chief Officer, the States of Jersey Police Chief Officer and the Home Affairs Finance Director. The transcripts for the hearing were to be published on the Scrutiny website. One of the questions asked relating to restructuring provisions required an answer which contained confidential information and it was agreed to hold that section in private session under the Code of Practice on Public Access to Official Information exemption 3.2.1.(a)(xiii). In relation to the planned public hearing with the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, it was noted that following the communication required by the Panel, the Minister had reverted to the original plan and would attend as arranged for two hours.
