4. Police Headquarters: proposed relocation at Green Street

The Panel met to consider the letter, dated 26th October 2012, from the Minister for Home Affairs.

Members identified further issues which required clarification in respect of the following

  • The 2009 workshop review of specifications
  • Custody Cell provision
  • Visitor parking
  • Off-site archive and garage

Having given further consideration to the question of a public hearing with the Minister for Home Affairs members concluded that a public hearing was unnecessary as it would probably duplicate discussions already held with the Minister in previous sessions. Nevertheless, if any submissions raised further queries the question might be reconsidered.

Members requested that the Scrutiny Officer prepare a draft report to be ready for publication in advance of the debate on P.92/2012.
