22.05.12 Item 2 514/19 | 2. Ash disposal The Panel noted new submissions and correspondence received since its last meeting on 22nd June 2012. Members subsequently welcomed representatives of AEA consultants to the meeting for a discussion of their proposals for the review. Some changes to the suggested order of project tasks were agreed and the consultants identified additional evidence that would be required from the department. It was agreed that AEA would prepare amended proposals, to include a more detailed outline of projected man-hours and costs for the review based on the changes discussed. Following receipt of the amendments the Panel would consider the proposal again prior to preparation of a formal contract. | MO MO |
22.05.12 Item 3 514/20 | 3. Radon The Panel received an oral update from the Scrutiny Officer following preliminary contact with the Health Protection Department. It was understood that analysis of results from the latest radon survey would be completed in the next 2-3 weeks. Members expressed an interest in seeing a presentation believed to have been given to other departments and the Scrutiny Officer was asked to follow this up. It was agreed that details of the review would be uploaded to the website once terms of reference had been shared with relevant Ministers and agreed by their departments. | MO MO |

Marine water quality The Panel noted correspondence received on 13th June from the Minister for Planning and Environment in reply to the Chairman's letter of 31st May 2012.
