The Panel identified an apparent discrepancy between the documentation and the testimony provided by the Managing Director of The Mortgage Shop at a public hearing on 13th February 2013. The Scrutiny Officer was requested to ascertain clarification of the matter in question. It was noted that further advice from the Statistics Unit would be beneficial. It was therefore agreed that the Vice-Chairman would correspond with the Scrutiny Office regarding arrangements for him to meet the Chief Statistician. Further consideration regarding lines of enquiry for the review was undertaken in private session for which a private record was taken under Paragraph 3.2.1(b) of the Code of Practice on Public Access to Official Information. The Panel received Mr. M. Matthews and Ms. S. Marett, Joint Presidents of the Jersey Estate Agents Association, for a public hearing.
