1. Tourism Shadow Board  

The  Panel  noted  arrangements  for  the  formatting,  printing  and presentation of its approved report. The formal presentation date would be Monday 14th January.

2. Jersey Innovation Fund

The Panel held a conference call with its adviser to discuss key aspects of the Review and to finalise the question plan for the forthcoming Public Hearing with the Minister for Treasury and Resources.

The Panel welcomed the Minister for Treasury and Resources and his accompanying Officers to the opening Public Hearing of the Jersey Innovation Fund Review. The Hearing was recorded and transcribed.

The Panel noted alternative arrangements for the postponed Public Hearing with the Minister for Economic Development that had been scheduled  to  take  place  the  following  day.  The  Hearing  had  been rescheduled to Monday 14th January, 9.30am.

3. Aircraft Registry

The Panel noted arrangements for its attendance at a seminar on 18th January,  organised  by  the  Economic  Development  Department  for finance  industry  stakeholders  on  developments  in  the  proposed Channel Islands Aircraft Registry.

4. La Collette Terminal Ltd

The Panel discussed its previous consideration of the proposed change of ownership of La Collette Terminal Ltd. It recalled that the proposed acquisition was subject to an ongoing Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority process. To help its understanding of the matter, the Panel

 

 

agreed  to  write  to  the  Jersey  Competition  Regulatory  Authority  to establish further details about its ongoing process before determining what, if any, work it would be appropriate to undertake.
