Education, Sport and Culture: quarterly hearing The Panel received the Minister for Education, Sport and Culture and his Chief Officer for a quarterly hearing on the work of the department and his priorities. The Panel noted the timetable for the draft Sports Strategy, which was expected in October, and that a ministerial group had been formed to consider the way forward with regard to the future of secondary education following the Green Paper of 2011. The group intended to visit a variety of schools models in the UK before commissioning an independent external review to commence in Q2 2014.
