12/02/14 Item 7 515/24 | 3. Financial Services Ombudsman The Panel noted receipt of the report from its Adviser received on Monday 17th February. The Panel further noted receipt of comments received from the Minister for Economic Development in relation to the recommendations made by the Adviser. It was agreed that further clarification was required from the Adviser in relation to complainant charging and systemic claims. The Panel agreed to request a Public Hearing with the Minister of Economic Affairs for Tuesday 11th March 2014. | ET |

Ports of Jersey The Panel noted receipt of a joint submission from Prospect and Unite union, and considered a new proposal for Connétable s to be responsible for identifying works on outlying/historic harbours within their Parish on behalf of the proposed Incorporated Ports of Jersey. The Panel welcomed representatives from Economic Development who provided the Panel with a briefing in relation to the timetable and current status of the Ports of Jersey Incorporation project. Jersey Innovation Fund It was noted that the Panel had received an update of information in relation to Boards under the remit of the Economic Development Department, confirming the number of members sitting on each. It was agreed to seek further clarity with regard to the breakdown of funds provided to each Board and to seek the Annual Report of the Gambling Commission. | TO/ET |
| 7. Future meetings The Panel noted the Financial Services Ombudsman and Retail Review Public Hearings proposed to take place on 11th and 13th March 2014 respectively. Due to the number of meetings arranged to be held during that week, the Panel agreed to seek to replace its scheduled 12th March with a meeting on the morning of 11th March 2014. |
