Staff Recruitment and Retention in the Hospital The Panel agreed that a hearing with the Director of HR would be useful and requested that the Officer arrange a hearing for week commencing 12th October. It was agreed that the Minister for Health and Social Services would be requested to attend a hearing following the HR Director for week commencing 12th October. The Panel agreed that it would arrange to meet prior to the hearing with the Minister for Health and Social Services to review and collate collected evidence. To Panel also requested that the Officer make enquiries to find out who the representative is for Health Professionals at the Hospital and to make arrangements for them to come and in and speak to the Panel at a hearing. | LS LS |

Zero-Hour Contracts The Panel agreed that in order to obtain a wider range of views and experiences that the surveys would be extended until 23rd October in an attempt to gather responses from the younger population of Jersey. The Panel requested that the Officer make the necessary arrangements to notify the public of the extension, along with preparing a draft media release. The Panel decided that the previously discussed suggestion of setting up a stall in town would no longer be appropriate or be of benefit and so would not be explored any further. The Panel requested that the Officer make arrangements for a hearing with the Chairman of the Employment Tribunal to take place during the week of 12th October. Deputy R. Renouf added that he would make contact with all States Members to encourage them to promote the survey to their constituents where possible. | LS LS RR |
