2.  Medium Term Financial Plan Addition

A  first  draft  of  the  Panel  comments  were  considered  and  agreed. Members were to advise the officer of areas they were interested in, where  they  had  specific  requirements  to  be  included  within  the Comments  paper. The Chairman  was  to finalise  the  paper  prior  to publication.

3.  Vice Chairman

The Panel was invited to consider that the Chairman had a period of maternity leave approaching with the Chairman's duties to be covered by  the  Vice  Chairman,  particularly  at  the  Chairmen's  Committee meetings. It had been noticed that the Vice Chairman, Deputy J. M. Maçon, was a member of the Planning Applications Panel and had pre- arranged  meetings  which  clashed  with  the  Chairmen's  Committee meetings for the rest of 2016 and into 2017.

The Panel recognised that this was not an ideal situation and it was agreed that when the Chairman went on maternity leave, Deputy T. A. Vallois  would  become  Vice  Chairman  as  she  was  in  a  position  to undertake the duties necessary.
