It was noted that the Panel would meet Mr. S. Fair (CIPFA) on 19th July to discuss the MTFP Addition and prepare for the Public Hearings with the Minister for Health and Social Services and Minister for Social Security. Staff Recruitment and Retention at the Hospital: Ministerial Response The Panel discussed the Ministerial Response to its report on staff recruitment and retention at the hospital (S.R.1/2016). The Panel noted that three out of fourteen recommendations had been rejected by the Minister. The Panel agreed that these would be followed up at the next Quarterly Hearing. |

Mental Health and Capacity Laws The Panel was advised by the Officer that during the last Quarterly Hearing with the Minister for Health and Social Services, it was mentioned that the draft Mental Health and Capacity Laws would be lodged imminently. The Officer also advised that the Panel's 2016 Work Programme included Mental Health as an area to review. The Panel discussed the matter and agreed to decide whether any work would be undertaken once the draft Laws had been lodged. It was also agreed that the Panel would meet with Mind Jersey once the draft Laws had been lodged to discuss their views. Furthermore, the Panel agreed to request the consultation responses. | KB |
