| 1. Records of Meetings The Panel noted and approved the records of the meetings held on 6th, 13th, 20th, 24th, 25th and 26th July 2017 and 4th August 2017. |

26/07/17 Item 1 517/36 | 2. Long-Term Care Scheme The Panel received three draft question plans in preparation for its Public Hearings with the Minister for Health and Social Services, Minister for Social Security and Minister for Treasury and Resources. The Panel discussed possible question areas and noted that further discussion was required before the Hearings took place. The Panel was advised that the Treasury and Resources Department had asked for the Hearing with the Minister, confirmed to take place on 21st September, to be rearranged. Due to its workload, the Panel was not mindful to rearrange the Hearing and requested the Officer to ask the Assistant Minister to attend in the Minister's place. | KB |
| 3. Future Hospital Review Panel The Panel recalled that a Review Panel had been established to scrutinise the Future Hospital Project. The Chairman explained that the Review Panel had requested information and an early copy of the Proposition which had not yet been received. |

| 4. Care of Children in Jersey Review Panel The Panel noted that a Review Panel had been established to review the implementation of the recommendations of the Jersey Care Inquiry. It was noted that Deputy J. Hilton was representing the Health and Social Security Panel and would provide further updates in due course. |

Redesign of the Health and Social Services Governance Model The Panel noted that its advisor, Dr. A Hughes was currently visiting the Island and was due to meet several officials from the Health and Social Services Department. The Panel agreed that it would meet Dr. Hughes for a de-brief session on 8th September. |

| 7. Disability Discrimination Regulations The Panel noted that the Minister for Social Security had issued a public consultation on the Draft Discrimination (Disability) (Jersey) Regulations 201- . The Panel agreed that it should undertake a review into the matter and tasked the Officer to draft a letter to the Minister informing her of the Panel's intentions and to request a timeline. |
