The Panel welcomed (at 10.00am) the Director of Digital and Telecoms Policy, Chief Minister's Department, and representatives of the Law Officer's Department, for a private briefing on proposed changes to Data Protection arrangements. (An officer from the London Office of the Chief Minister's Department also participated via telephone link.)

2.  Licensing Law

The  Panel  welcomed  (at  2.30pm)  the  Assistant  Chief  Minister  and Chairman of the Shadow Alcohol and Licensing Policy Group (SALPG) (Senator P.F. Routier), together with other members of the group: the Minister  for  Health  and  Social  Services;  the  Assistant  Minister  for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture with responsibility for Alcohol Licensing ( Connétable S.W. Pallett); and the Connétable of St Martin. SALPG members were accompanied by the Head of Health Improvement, Health and Social Services; the Director, Social Policy (Chief Minister's Department); and the Policy Manager (EDTSC) for a private meeting on the draft Licensing Law.
