Item 2 17.05.17 515/39 | 1. Jersey Sport: Establishment The Panel met to consider revised documents received from the Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture Department concerning the establishment of Jersey Sport. Members agreed to focus on the amended Partnership Agreement between the department and Jersey Sport Limited, as the department had indicated that this was the most urgent. Following detailed examination members concluded that the amended document was still unfit for purpose. Numerous problems were identified, ranging from minor drafting errors to more serious issues, including concerns about potential liabilities which might affect the department if the document were signed in its current form. It was agreed that the Scrutiny Officer would draft and circulate for members' approval an email explaining the Panel's concerns. This would be sent to the department with a copy of the Partnership Agreement highlighting specific issues, together with some suggestions as to how they might be resolved. | MO |
