| 1. Records of meetings The Minutes of the meeting held on 14th March 2018 were approved and signed. | MO |
Item 2 14.03.18 | 2. Draft Forfeiture of Assets (Civil Proceedings) (Jersey) Law 201- The Panel discussed the briefing received on 14th March. It was felt that concerns about the draft legislation may not be able to be addressed adequately in time for debate in April. The Scrutiny Officer was asked to contact the Director of Financial Services to request a deferral, to allow a future Panel sufficient time to review the matter appropriately. | MO |
Item 1 08.03.18 515/35 | 3. Licensing Law The Panel discussed its draft report. It was noted that this would require further detailed work to cover the withdrawal of the Proposition and adjust other content. Given the pressure of other States business and the forthcoming elections it was felt that this would be of little interest to other States Members. It was agreed instead that a letter should be sent to the Assistant Minister, copied to the Minister and Assistant Chief Minister for the benefit of the SALPG, explaining the Panel's position regarding the review and refuting unjustified claims made by the Assistant Minister in his Statement to the Assembly on 6th March. | MO |
| 4. Forthcoming meetings Next scheduled Panel meeting: 9.30am on 28th March 2018, Blampied Room, States Building |
