1.  Briefing on Draft Emergency Powers and Planning (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Law 201- [P.76/2019]

The Panel received Government and Law officers for a briefing on this Proposition.

Officers  explained  the  Proposition  to  the  Panel  and  the  Panel  suggested  an amendment. Officers agreed to seek further advice as to whether it can be made and to advise the Panel on this.

The Panel thanked officers for attending.

2.  Government Plan

The Panel noted that projects and programmes under the Government Plan have been distributed to the standing panels.

The Panel agreed that, although several items relate to Brexit, they are relatively minor and can be dealt with through the standing panels with advice from Brexit Panel members on the relevant standing panels.

1. Briefing: update on Brexit preparations

The Panel met the Minister for External Relations and Government Officials for a briefing on preparations for Brexit. The Minister advised the Panel that he was due to present a Report to the States Assembly on Brexit before the end of June 2020. The remaining part of the meeting was classified as exempt in accordance with the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law (as amended) under Qualified Exemption Article 41.
