11 March 2020 Dear Minister

Economic and International Affairs Scrutiny Panel Coronavirus

With the announcement of Jersey's first case of coronavirus, the Panel would like an update on the work of the Coronavirus Business Liaison Group. Specifically, we would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

  1. What are your main economic and business concerns in light of the covid-19 outbreak?
  2. What main concerns have been identified by businesses?
  3. What actions will you and businesses take to minimise disruption to the economy and ensure that supply lines remain functional?

Please could you also provide the Panel with a risk assessment of the situation and a risk register. We look forward to receiving this information at your earliest convenience.

Yours sincerely

Deputy Kirsten Morel

Chair
