Scrutiny Office

Senator Lyndon Farnham Deputy Chief Minister By Email

5th January 2021

Dear Deputy Chief Minister,

Our Hospital – Preferred Access Route

Thank you for your letter dated 29th December 2020 requesting an update to our review. As part of our review process, it is our intention to hold a public hearing with you and members of your team and we will shortly be requesting a call for submissions from members of the Public and other Stakeholders. Our advisers are due to present a report to the Panel shortly after 20th January 2021 which will enable us to finalise and present our report to States Members in early February.

Whilst we understand your preference for an earlier debate and the reasons you have given, we, together with our advisers, are working towards the timetable of 9th February which with the recent holidays, is an already tight timetable. We are therefore unable to accommodate either of the earlier dates proposed and respectfully request you allow us the time to undertake our work and present our findings in time for the debate on 9th February.

We look forward to hearing from you and if you wish to discuss the matters in more detail, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Senator Kristina Moore

Chair
