Review of the Government Plan 2022-25
I write to you following the recently lodged P.90/2021 - Government Plan 2022 – 2025 and to inform you of the Panel's intention to look further into various projects listed therein namely:
Emergency and Urgent Care Vehicle Replacement (page 47 Government Plan 2022-25)
In the Government Plan 2022-25, the Panel notes the project GP22-CSP2-3-08 Emergency and Urgent Care Vehicle Replacement' which will replace vehicles for the Ambulance Service and the Fire & Rescue Service.
- Please can you provide more context about the "corporate decision to move fleet assets from capital purchasing to leasing through Jersey Fleet Management", as set out on page 47 of the Government Plan 2022-25?
- Has this decision resulted in any additional costs?
- Please can you provide a list of the current vehicles that will be removed from service, together with confirmation of the number and type of vehicles that will be procured for use.
Specialist Paramedic Team (page 48 Government Plan 2022-25)
- The Panel notes on page 48 of the Government Plan 2022-25, that this project involves the "development of a proof of concept", please can you provide more information about the various stages of this project, and a timeline for the development of the proof of concept?
- Please can you explain whether the funding allocated in Government Plan 2022-25 is for the development of the proof of concept, or the recruitment of additional paramedics?
- Do you anticipate that additional staff for the Specialist Paramedic Team be recruited separately, or from the existing pool of paramedic staff?
