Dear Minister,

Corporate Services Scrutiny Panel

Cost of Living Mini-Budget 2022 Review (S.R.19/2022): Ministerial Response of the Minister for Treasury and Resources

The Panel wish to thank you for your timely Ministerial Response to our Cost of Living Mini- Budget Review.

We also express our gratitude in regard to the acceptance of Recommendation 2, and praise for providing to the Assembly a Children's Rights Impact Assessment prior to the debate of the proposition.

The Panel observes that three of its six recommendations have been partially accepted. In respect of Recommendation 3, in particular, the commentary provided is inconsistent with your response of partial acceptance. As such, please further explain as to why you chose not to reject the recommendation outright. Moreover, please provide further clarification on which elements of our recommendation you are accepting.

The Panel look forward to receiving this information via a formal written response no later than Wednesday 16th November 2022. Please be advised that it is the intention of the Panel to publish any response received on the States Assembly Website.

Yours sincerely,

Deputy Sam Mézec
