Dear Sirs

I live in St Brelade's Bay and frankly I am not only appalled but embarrassed by the behaviour of our youngsters. They not only behave in a manner that would not only put tourists off coming back here they intimidate locals.

I walk my dog every morning and evening on our beautiful beach and also in Winston Churchill Park. The litter that is left by not only parties but groups of sunbathers (teenagers) and people having BBQs and night parties is shocking.

I am all for people enjoying themselves but they must be made to clear up afterwards.

I and many other St Brelade's Bay residents spend time on many a morning (and evening) picking up from the beach even before the beach cleaners arrive.

If I went to a holiday destination and found the beach in the state our beach is in I simply would not return.

I do feel that something really needs to be done to encourage, if that's the right word, people, especially the young to keep Jersey as clean and special as it deserves to be.

Yours faithfully Catherine Goed
