Sirs,
I think what is required is a review of how we police the speed limits that we have in place.
As a resident of La Route de St. Aubin, I am well versed in the dangers of this road and the fact that the 30 mph is widely ignored. The matter is not the speed limit which could be 15 mph, if it is not policed then people will do what ever speed they think is appropriate. The yellow lines on this road go unpoliced and once again are widely ignored, adding to the danger of the road.
Drunks staggering home in the middle of the road, would a speed decrease suit them, quite possibly, however once again a patrol stopping them from being in the middle of the road would be much better.
In case you missed the point of my missive, there is no need to touch the limits that are in place, however if we could spare a few bobbies from sorting out the fights at the Weighbridge and get them out and about monitoring the speed limits then that would be much better.
Regards Jonathan Perree
