There is nothing wrong with the current speed limits. I ride a bike and a horse and the 15 mph limit in the green lanes should stay.
All speed limits are routinely ignored - try driving down Mont Felard, 30 mph and be over taken - happens all the time.
I hear people doing well above 40 mph on Rue de Mare Ballam and Le Neuf Chemin after 11.30 at night. Weekends every night some of the vehicles are doing well over 80 mph in my opinion, I am surprised more do not kill themselves.
Why is there not more speed trapping - the fines could go towards filling the £100 Million overspend.
On a horse you can see what the drivers are doing - ie not wearing seat belts and on the phone - every time I go out.
I strong object to the removal of the 15 mph zones - not only spending money without cause but making riding, walking and cycling even more dangerous.
And don't get me started about the tons of tin cans, plastic of all sorts and bottles thrown in the roads and in the hedges .............
