Subject: What do you think about .
Free parking? ........................... As good as it sounds I believe we can't afford this policy in so many ways. Parking should be self financed mainly to hopefully restrict congestion and persuade people to walk, cycle and travel by bus more. We need to invest in better cycle routes subsidised bus travel and maybe for more awkward parts of the island an outer area for parking to assist and restrict everyone coming into the centre of St Helier with their cars.
Increased public money being spent on sport? ........... This requires to be a regular and increasing investment, which allows major projects to be completed with ease.......................... Olympic size pool - Velodrome - Indoor ski centre - Indoor surf training centre - Skate / Skateboard / Scooter Park etc.. all with modern high end architecture to make the island inviting for travellers and international teams (training camps etc).... Lets make Jersey an interesting island and think outside the upturned boat!!!!
Otherwise you end up with sport development in fits and starts dependant on who shouts loudest, with some sports being left so far behind some generations miss out big time.
Accessing more services on-line? ........ Yes please.......... Lets be innovative and be the first fully online voting systems we can sell around the world, and daily politics with some public arena's for free consultation tools etc..
