Dear Panel,
I have already sent my comments in a previous email. However, as a private ( not 'commercial' as Mr Donovan insists on calling us) provider, I have come across a situation this morning that I had not thought of before. Unfortunately I will be out of the island next Wednesday so cannot bring it to the meeting.
A parent contacted me - her first child attended my pre-school under the NEF. Her second child is due to start part time during the next academic year and would have accessed the NEF from 2017. She is very anxious to know how much the pre-school year will cost without NEF as they have not budgeted for it and she is further concerned that, as they didn't put the little girl down for a States Nursery place, she may not have that option either.
This is so ill thought out and just thoroughly thoughtless in its impact on our young, hard working families.
I have never been involved in politics before but I feel incensed.
