Dear Deputy Doublet ,

I just wanted to take the opportunity to write after you invited patents to contact you, after yesterday's announcement from the States. My husband and I have been waiting to receive the free nursery hours as a goal in sight, to be able to go on holiday with our now two year old daughter, or just to have some breathing space and less stress each month, where we know we will have some extra money and I'm not talking a lot, £100-£200 each month. Whilst 75k is a lot of money to us all, as a combined wage it doesn't go very far when you factor in Jersey house prices and mortgages in excess of £2000 every month and then nursery fees in excess of £1500- £2000 a month. Us working parents work so hard, please give us a break. This decision could also force some families to give up their dream of having another baby.

Best regards
