Dear Sirs

I was appalled and very upset by the announcement of the above last week The apparent absence of a consultation before the decision.

Do we have to accept again major decisions made, that will affect much more than 100 families - surely this figure is not correct? How was this measured? What about the future families of Jersey?

We shall be very adversely effected by this change to the tune of (I believe) £3,600 a year. We the 'so called middle- class' workers in Jersey are penalised again. I do not classify myself in this way at all. Myself and my partner work very hard to support our family, and contribute a lot in the way of taxes and social security for others to benefit.

This MUST not happen.

Jersey will soon not be a place that people wish to stay....for example, these benefits are still provided in the UK despite their own cuts.

Message to Deputy Bryans- Plan for the future of Jersey and not just for today!
