Amendments to the Scrutiny hearing.
Further to the opinions given by Chamber representatives, Jersey Chamber of Commerce would wish to highlight, with the benefit of reviewing documents after the Scrutiny hearing, the JCRA Business Plan had been sent and received by Chamber on the 18th December 2020. Chamber has made this known to the Scrutiny Panel and has apologised to the JCRA for this oversight, mentioned within the hearing.
Chamber would also wish to emphasise that engagement between the JCRA and Chamber had and is still ongoing, with a healthy working relationship between the two organisations. Further meetings are already planned throughout the year with several sectors represented within the Chamber of Commerce, to better familiarise industry with their work.
We have also subsequently met with the JCRA to outline points made in the Scrutiny Hearing and have both agreed that in some areas, representatives were unsighted of the ongoing engagement with the JCRA, something that both the JCRA and ourselves are addressing in the scheduled meetings in the coming months.
