It's a no brainer really. Think about the consequences; system failure, internet outages, natural disasters which have been happening and will increase in the future the way the world is going. Think Cyber !

Not everyone has access to electronic payment anyway. I for one do not have an online banking account for obvious reasons, there is an awful lot of online fraud these days. Please think of the elderly people, Scrutiny Board (these things may come easy to you) how are they supposed to manage if not able to use cash. OK, some people prefer card payment, some people prefer cash, it's a no brainer really, leave the choice up to the people of the Island which way they wish to use & not increase the Mental Health state in this Island, which it most certainly will do. This would be a big thing to a lot of people, not to mention the ageing population. Think how they would give Birthday/Christmas money to their Grandchildren/nieces/nephews etc. or if they come to visit when

the relatives often like to pass a £5 note or so to the child & see the delight on their

faces. How about school fetes, bring & buy or similar, not to mention youngsters. Are they supposed to carry a card with them, causing yet more fraud & anxiety to all. Youngsters don't understand - how many cards will be lost.

The list is endless for not getting rid of cash - just carry on using both. Peace of Mind for a lot, a lot of people.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email.

Since I wrote this email in my head, we have had a worldwide outage - I leave that thought. Please do your utmost for the elderly and not so elderly people who like to use both.

With kind regards.
