It is a very sad situation that Lloyds bank are again ready to ignore the needs of the Islands people.
It was dreadful that they closed Five Oaks branch which served many people in the north east of the Island especially the older generation and now they plan to close the St.Brelade branch.
It is a busy branch. I know of people who drive from the country parishes to use it as they find it difficult to park near the St. Helier branch and some of these people have mobile issues.
I realise mobile banking has made a difference but alot of people prefer to talk to someone especially if they are worried about fraud or being scammed or just want their banking needs addressed.
It is extremely disappointing that choices are constantly being taken away from people and banks only caring about their own needs and not their customers.
There will only be one bank branch (HSBC) outside of St. Helier and how long before that goes!
