With regards to going cashless, i do think this is crazy, as long as cash and cards are accepted side by side, there should be no issue. I live on a budget, and without the use

of cash, would be in a right mess and in debt etc, as would hundreds of other people

who also have to live on a tight budget. Its too easy to pay with plastic until it finally gets refused due to lack of funds as overspent, but when your weekly cash is gone, thats it, you know the brakes are on. Birthdays, xmas and celebrations, are usually a gift or

cash, so again, no cash no present, just vouchers which run out or useless to the person. Charities are and will suffer more, with no cash, which they rely on to keep running and helping others less fortunate. Tips tend to be left in cash, or people just pay bill at the end, and maybe leave no tip atall, which again lots of people rely on. If friends or family are owed money, they get paid in cash, as who walks around with a card

reader in general. I believe cashless society would make all our lives even more difficult than it already is, with all the technology we have got to try get our heads around, and what happens when technology fails, as it does, the island comes to a halt? money

being lost all over, and people unable to get what they need/want, it really doesnt bare thinking about, but is more than possible. I struggle with technology at times, as i know the older generation, mostly have no clue, or no access to carry out the online things they have to try and navigate. The banks will also then be able to put in place whatever they wish from everyone, as we will all have no choice, but to pay whatever extras the banks decide to put in place. The banks should not be given the monopoly on everyones monies and lives, and all choices taken away. Not On. Life is hard enough for most of us, please don't make it even more difficult and stressful by demanding we go cashless.
