Please keep cash, it's much more difficult to budget with cards, I pay everything with cash except the vast amount of things I buy online because I don't go to town anymore and things I need are half the price on Amazon which is very sad. I'm also concerned about things going wrong, when the machines don't work, which seems to happen quite often then we are stuck. It might surprise you to know that many elderly people don't have internet so have to pay bills by cash or cheque. I do pay my cleaner cash but she pays social and tax, I know there are probably a few people working for cash but there's a lot more very wealthy people paying a lot less % wise in tax than working people.
