- To review the role and responsibilities of the current Prison Board of Visitors.
- To consider any work undertaken by the Minister for Home Affairs on issues arising in relation to the Board of Visitors.
- To consider the position in other jurisdictions.
- To review whether current arrangements with regard to the Board of Visitors are acceptable.
- To examine any further issues relating to the topic that may arise in the course of the Scrutiny Review and which the Panel considers relevant.
