Urgent Oral Question 

Deputy Louise Doublet asked an urgent oral question of the Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Tom Binet. 

“Given the Report has not been formally presented to this Assembly, but appears on the gov.je website, will the Minister provide further details on the plans to separate health services from Government as outlined in his Annual Plan for 2025, including how the new devolved funding of health care would operate?”

Public Business 

P.79 Draft Termination of Pregnancy (Jersey) Amendment Law 202- 

The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Tom Binet, is proposing to amend the Termination of Pregnancy (Jersey) Law 1997, to remove the current residency requirements. This would allow a person who is not ordinarily resident in Jersey, or who has been resident in Jersey for less than 90 days, to access a termination in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy if other requirements in the Law are satisfied.

The States Assembly voted to APPROVE the Minister’s proposition with 42 votes for, 0 votes against and 0 abstentions.
