This Sub-Committee is established by the Privileges and Procedures Committee to raise political awareness and to engage with the public about the work of the Assembly.
.Terms of reference
The Sub-Committee -
- engages with the public about the work of the States Assembly and works with other bodies that are seeking to engage and encourage the public's interest in politics.
- raises awareness amongst all Islanders of the entitlement and reasons to vote.
- identifes training needs of individuals working with young people and other relevant profressionals and develops age-appropriate teaching materials.
- ensures information about the States Assembly is included within the induction programme for all new States' employees.
- identifies proposals and initiatives, in conjunction with other relevant stakeholders, that further the Sub-Committee's work and reports its findings to PPC.
