Minutes  A1.  The Minutes of the meetings held on 7th March 2017 (Part A and Part B), 10th

March 2017 (Part A only) and 27th March 2017 (Part A only), having previously been circulated, were taken as read and were confirmed.

Public  A2. The Committee received a verbal update from the Deputy Greffier in relation elections: voter  to the vote.je website. The Committee recalled that the website served as a public turnout and  information service in connexion with the States of Jersey elections.

campaign.  The Deputy Greffier notified the Committee that the administration of the website 424/99/1(12)  and associated support therefor had recently been put out to tender and the successful

bid had been received from Advertising International, the current service provider. She indicated that she, the Assistant Greffier and the Committee Clerk had recently met with the Managing Director of the company, who was very enthusiastic in relation to the project, in order to discuss the work that needed to be undertaken in advance of the 2018 general election with a view to increasing voter registration and encouraging people to vote on election day.

The outcome of the States' decision on the draft States of Jersey (Amendment No.9) Law 201- (P.18/2017), which was due to be debated on 2nd May 2017, was awaited because, if approved, electoral districts would change and it would be important for information to be included on the vote.je website to explain those changes to the electorate.

The Committee noted the position accordingly.

Forthcoming  A3. The Committee received a list of forthcoming business for debate by the States business for  Assembly at its next 4 meetings and considered whether it wished to make a formal

debate by the  comment on any of the Propositions that had been lodged au Greffe.

States

Assembly.  The Committee noted that it would be presenting a comment on the Proposition of 465/1(210)   Deputy S.M. Wickenden of St. Helier , entitled – E-Petitions' (P.14/2017), which

was the subject of item B5 of the current meeting. It also decided that it wished to present a comment on the Proposition of Senator S.C. Ferguson, Chief Minister: Term Limit' (P.24/2017).
