Public Services  A1.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. A3 of 13th March 2018, Ombudsman:  recalled that it had expressed the wish to present a comment on the Proposition of establishment  Senator  P.F.C.   Ozouf ,  entitled  Public  Services  Ombudsman:  establishment  of of office  office' (P.32/2018), which was due to be considered by the States Assembly on 20th (P.32/2018) –  March 2018.

1240/26(87)  The Committee considered a draft comment, which had been prepared by the Deputy

Greffier of the States, approved the same and instructed officers to arrange for it to be presented to the States.

Mindful that the next meeting of the States was due to commence on Monday 19th March 2018 and that the comment should, accordingly, have been presented by noon on Thursday 15th March 2018, the Committee requested officers to endorse the comment with the reason for the delay in presenting the same in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 37A.

Commissioner  A2.  The Committee, with reference to its Minute No. B7 of 13th March 2018, for Standards –  recalled  that  it  had  received  a  report  from  the  Commissioner  for  Standards, report in  following his investigation into a complaint that Senator S.C. Ferguson had breached respect of a  the Code of Conduct for Elected Members.

against Senator  The Committee recalled that it had decided to publish the Commissioner's report in S.C. Ferguson.  the Reports series and had requested the Committee Clerk to append a preamble 1497/99/1(12)  thereto and to circulate it for its approval.

Accordingly, the Committee received the report and preamble and approved the same for presentation to the States.
