All members were present, with the exception of Connétable A.S. Crowcroft of St. Helier and Deputy R. Labey of St. Helier from whom apologies had been received.

Minutes.  A1. The Minutes of the meetings held on 5th January 2022 (Part A), 11th January 2022

(Part A), 12th January 2022 (Part B) and 17th January 2022 (Part A) having previously been circulated, were taken as read and approved.

Forthcoming  A2. The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A2 of its meeting of 24th January business for  2022, considered forthcoming business for debate by the Assembly at its meeting on debate by the  1st March 2022. The Committee decided that it did not wish to make a formal comment Assembly.  on any of the Propositions which had been lodged au Greffe' for debate on that date.

Update on the  The Committee, with reference to Minute No. A2 of its meeting of 24th January 2022, work of the  received  and  considered  a  paper  by  the  Principal  Committee  and  Panel  Officer Sub- regarding an update on the work of the Sub-Committees. The Committee noted the Committees.  following:

Election Observers Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates.

Political Awareness Education Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that there were no new updates.

States Members' Pensions Sub-Committee – the Greffier advised the Committee that the Sub-Committee had finished its work on the States Members' pension scheme and had requested that its Terms of Reference and minutes were published on the States Assembly website. The Committee agreed and requested the Principal Committee and

Panel Officer to make the necessary arrangements.

Diversity Forum Sub-Committee – the Committee noted that it was due to discuss two papers by the Diversity Forum entitled Enhancing Diversity of Applications and Appointments  to  Boardlevel  Public  Sector  Positions  and  Proposed  Areas  for Consideration to Encourage Diversity as part of its part B agenda.

Democratic Accountability and Governance Sub-Committee the Committee noted that the report by the Sub-Committee was published on 18th February 2022. Senator T.A. Vallois advised that a meeting was due to take place with Ms S. Wylie, Chief Executive of the States of Jersey and Mr P. Bradbury, Head of the Ministerial Support Unit on 2nd March 2022 to discuss an action plan for the recommendations.

Work  A4. The Committee received and considered a work programme by the Principal Programme  Committee and Panel Officer regarding its workstreams for the remainder of 2022. The 2022  Committee noted the work programme accordingly.
