Minutes.  A1. The Sub-Committee approved the records of its meetings held on 22nd January and

25th April 2024.

Update from  A2. The Chair briefed the Sub-Committee on a recent meeting with the Comité de the Chair   Connétable s to discuss Citizenship Day and Island Identity. It was suggested by the Chair following a  that further discussion be had to appoint a Member of the Sub-Committee to lead on the meeting with  project. Connétable of St Martin, St Peter and St John are working together on an event the Comité de  format that will be piloted with young Islanders in their respective Parishes. Connétable s on

Jersey Voter  A3. The Sub-Committee considered the report undertaken by Professor Chris Pich and Engagement  considered the recommendations. It was acknowledged that the recommendations are Focus Groups -  being tested with a wider audience through one of the questions in the 2024 Jersey Pilot Study  Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (JOLS). It was agreed that a meeting be arranged to focus undertaken by  on Chris' future research plans in Jersey. It was also agreed that a letter be drafted to Professor Chris  Professor Pich thanking him for the report.

New States  A4. The head of D&PE gave a verbal update and informed the Sub-Committee that the Assembly  website was in the final stages with a launch date in the Autumn.

Social media  A5. The head of D&PE informed the Sub-Committee that the social media output had rules.  increased and with that, came additional challenges. Community rules were shared with

the sub-committee. It was agreed that the unfollowing of unnecessary accounts on various social media platforms be implemented.

Jersey Youth  A6. The head of D&PE gave a verbal update and informed the Sub-Committee that the Parliament.  Youth Parliament was due to move from the Jersey Youth Service to the States Greffe,

under the leadership of the Education Manager.

Automatic  A7.  The  head  of  D&PE  informed  the  Sub-Committee  that  the  Automatic  Voter Voter  Registration project is progressing well, with a project manager in place. It was due to be Registration.  concluded by the end of 2024.

Democracy  A8. The head of D&PE gave an update on Democracy week due in September 2024 and Week update –  informed the Sub-Committee that it was progressing as planned.

Staffing and  A9. The head of D&PE gave an update and informed the Sub-Committee that an Outreach Structure.  Manager had been appointed, an Education Manager role and an apprentice role were due

Future  A10. The Sub-Committee noted that its next meeting would take place on 24th July 2024 Meetings.  from 10am to 12pm in Blampied Room.
