A National Day for Jersey P.6/2025

THE STATES commenced consideration of a proposition of the Minister for International Development entitled A National Day for Jersey' (P.6/2025) and rejected Part 1 of an amendment of Deputy Montfort Tadier of St. Brelade (P.6/2025 Amd.), that the existing proposition should be redesignated as paragraph (a) and that, after the words "National Day", there should be inserted the following –

"(b) that alongside Liberation Day, the 28th September should be adopted as Jersey's second National

Day; and".
