ADDENDUM TO REPORT
In the Report accompanying Housing Committee Proposition P.74/2003 reference is made in Section 5 to Appendix 1'. Unfortunately this Appendix was not circulated with the Report.
Appendix 1 is now attached, showing the current position for tenants under the existing rent subsidy schemes.
Column 1 of this table shows weekly income and, in column 2 alongside, the net rent which a tenant on thi income is currently required to pay before any surcharges. The remaining columns show the subsidy which will apply at those income levels at different levels of fair rent. For tenants on rent rebate, these columns show the weekly rebate paid.
An additional sheet is attached at Appendix 2, which shows the effect in January 2004 if proposals in P.74/2003 to increase the minimum rent and adjust the percentage of income payable on rent, are adopted.
