Hello there,

If I am honest, I was a bit concerned about the price I had to pay for the jersey Live tickets in the first place, but went ahead and bought them anyway.

I would not of known that my money went towards policing until it was hugely publicised by The Jersey Evening Post after the event. I do, however, think it is disgraceful that us (taxpayers) have to pay more for policing at such events. When I was at Jersey Live the amount of Police around was absolutely ridiculous, I never saw anything remotely awful happen that the police had to attend to, apart from a few teenagers being escorted out for being a bit too worse for wear, or underage, which, I myself, don't find bad at all, things like that are bound to happen. I think that there was no need for there to be that many police, and especially police from the mainland. What does that say about Jersey Police? That they can't handle securing an event like Jersey Live on their own and have to call in people with more experience. It is outrageous and extremely stupid, I firmly believe that we should be paying for the entertainment, location and equipment, not for extra police around and for what, a few drunk teenagers! This really does humour me and I think that (being 18 myself) young people are the people that make jersey 'live' and that matters like drunk teenagers should be the least of the Police's worries anyway!
