I am writing in reference to the e-mail I received earlier today as to whether or I not I believe that attendees of Jersey Live should pay for the Policing.

As an attendee of Jersey Live for the previous 3 years, I strongly disagree that the cost for Policing should be charged as an extra of the total cost of the ticket. Although I do understand the necessity of surveillance at such events, I do feel that it is fair to charge those whom do not intend to cause any disturbances and appreciate the occasion to regroup in a friendly manner. Unfortunately I can appreciate that some are far more troublesome than others. However in reference to previous years the amount of disorder to actually happen on the grounds of Jersey Live has been very minimal. Jersey Live is also a perfect opportunity to bring more tourism into the Island that I am sure would match, if not more, that of the Battle of Flowers and Air Display which as mentioned, the Policing is funded by us the Tax Payers.

I therefore conclude this discussion by pointing out that at this year's two day event, it would appear the Police had a nice day in groups, enjoying the music at a special overtime rate that I particularly do not want to fund.

Kind Regards, Georgina
