In response to the below email I would have thought the fairest way for a private organisation, such as Jersey Live, to be treated in these circumstances is for them to make available their financial statements to the powers that be. Through reviewing previous years accounts and future cash flow projections the amount of expenses going towards security and policing can be properly evaluated. A certain percentage should be paid by the organisers towards policing and not passed onto the public - this has to be fair. I can't see how it would be fair to the ticket paying customer if they were expected to pay the additional amount for policing etc on top of the ticket price which Jersey Live come up with.
