I write with regard to the proposal to continue to charge the concert goers for the use of the policing at the annual Jersey Live event. It is extremely unfair to place this cost on anyone other than from the police budget. No one pays anything extra for the other events such as Battle of Flowers and Air Display etc so why should we/ The Jersey live event brings in a huge amount of revenue for the island which grows every year, the people that come stay for a long weekend and have to stay in hotels and guest houses , they eat in our restaurants spend money in clubs and bars and most of all in the shops. As they are a younger crowd they will keep coming for years . Also it is a fantastic event that all the young people on the island look forward too and more so each year. There is always a downer on young people enjoying themselves why is this.?The event at the castle was one night of rave and look at the miserable people who objected. I hate the air show it is two days of ear-splitting noise that I can't stand but there are never any complaints about that .We should embrace Jersey Live it is fantastic and I am a 54 year old grandmother..
