From the 'tweet' received in the last 5 minutes from Scrutiny, I notice there was a meeting in St Saviour last night albeit it looked sparsely attended.
I was not aware of the meeting, hence now writing to you in order for my views to also be taken into account.
I firmly believe that the island wide mandate of the Senators is essential are they have an island wide mandate and in order for any Assembly to truly represent the whole 100,000 of our population we must accept the proposal from Senator Farnham as it moves us part way to a much fairer system.
The current system gives too much power to small population parishes and as a result encourages favouritism towards small parish issues rather than the future of the island as a whole.
Yours Sincerely
Graeme Smith
